Cookie Policy
This page describes, factually, which cookies the Clerato marketing website (www.clerato.com and www.clerato.com/hu) can set and why. It does not claim compliance with any specific law — it is a description of actual behavior, which you can verify in your browser.
This page does not apply to app.clerato.com, the authenticated Clerato application, which never loads Google Analytics or sets analytics cookies, regardless of any choice made on the marketing website.
1. The preference cookie (always set once you choose)
clerato_cookie_consent_v1 — stores your accept/reject choice, the version of this policy you agreed to, and the time you made the choice. It exists purely to remember your decision so we don't ask again on every visit. It is set the moment you click "Accept analytics" or "Reject non-essential" — never before, and never automatically.
2. Analytics cookies (optional — Google Analytics)
If, and only if, you click "Accept analytics", we load Google Analytics (GA4), which sets:
- _ga — distinguishes visitors for aggregate usage counting.
- _ga_<container id> — persists your Analytics session state.
3. What happens before you choose, and if you reject
Before you make a choice, and if you click "Reject non-essential": Google Analytics is not loaded, gtag is not initialized, no request is sent to googletagmanager.com or google-analytics.com, and no Google Analytics cookie is created.
If you had previously accepted and later change your mind, we stop sending further analytics events and remove the _ga / _ga_* cookies from your browser where technically possible (browser cookie permissions can limit this in some cases).
4. What Google Analytics does and does not receive
We configure Google Analytics to disable advertising features, ad personalization signals, and Google-signals-based cross-device tracking. We use Google Analytics to measure website usage, such as page views and selected non-identifying interactions, including contact-link clicks.
We never send names, email addresses, form contents, lease or document information, identifiable user IDs, or query parameters containing personal information to Google Analytics.
Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC. Where analytics is enabled, website usage information is processed through Google Analytics in accordance with Google's applicable terms and privacy documentation.
5. Changing your choice
Your choice applies across www.clerato.com and www.clerato.com/hu — switching language does not trigger a new consent prompt. You can change your choice at any time using the button on this page.
